(Part 2) will get you playing and having fun right away. Tommy takes you through the basics of how to hold your sticks and how to use your pedals. He even brings out some young students to help demonstrate some great grooves and fills that you can play right away.     Great DVD for learning how to play the drums! Tommy is a great instructor! I sound pretty good and I’ve only watched the DVD a few times, I’ll be a pro in no time.

    I purchased this DVD to learn how to play the drums. I am a complete beginner. I haven’t received my drum set yet, but I decided I wanted to watch part of this anyways, so I watched the “how to set up” portion of the dvd. Not only did I learn really important things that are going to help me set up my drum, but Tommy Igoe made watching the video entertaining, with witty jokes every now and then. I can’t wait to watch the rest of this dvd when my drum set arrives. 5 stars, this is the best out there

    Great for introductory video. My 10 year old daughter is working her way through it and thoroughly enjoys it.
